For the images I had 3 basic templates for what I wanted: a person in a studio-like environment with a serious face and their eyes fixed on the camera, a person in a street environment and a music related object.

1) These are the pictures that are going to be used for the front cover. I tried a variety of shots with various different props. The idea was to make the model look dangerous, with their serious face and with many of the pictures done in the style of mugshots, which is appropriate for the genre of music. Click here.

2) These images are going to be used with the contents. They are meant to be a simple image of a music-related image to go with the list of features below them and not to draw too much attention. I tried a couple of different shots: zooming in and out and trying to create a motion blur. Click here.

3) These images are going to accompany the article. The artists in this genre are often photographed in urban environments at night due to the nature of their music which tells of urban lifestyles and is generally quite dark. I used a mixture of flash and the natural light from the street lights, which gives the pictures an interesting orange glow, in various different locations and from many different angles. 1. I'm impressed with the amount of thought that has gone into these images. You have really thought hard about the generic conventions of the magazine and planned the images accordingly. You have a great choice here.
