With all my planning done and my pictures taken I began work on my finished piece.

1) I opened the image in Adobe Photoshop.

2) I cropped the image to make it a better format for a magazine.

3) I used the select colour tool and selected the background of the image.

4) I adjusted the fuzziness.

5) I used the selective colour tool to adjust the colour by darkening and tinting the background.

6) I used the hue/saturation tool to adjust background colours further.

7) I selected the unwanted parts on the right side of the image and feathered it.

8) I then copy and pasted this part of the image to create another layer.

9) I darkened this layer using the levels and selective colour tools.

10) I flattened the layers.

11) I selected the record area and used the shadow/ highlight tool to lift the shadows.

12) I then desaturated it slightly with the hue/saturation tool.

13) I selected the face and feathered it, then used the sharpen tool.

14) I then added the text to the image.

15) I edited the fonts.

16) I edited the colours.

17) I used the stroke tool to add borders.

18) I used the bevel & emboss tool to give it a textured look.

19) I rasterized the title type to make it a picture layer.

20) I selected part of the title that covered the model and deleted it.

21) I then added the bar code.
