Last to do is the two-page spread.


1) I opened the image.


2) I created a bigger black canvas.


3) I dragged the image onto this canvas.


4) I selected the railings to the right and deleted them.


5) I then altered the opacity to make it mix better with the background.


6) I then used the hue/saturation tool to adjust the colours slightly.


7) I then opened the other image and dragged it onto the canvas.


8) I then selected and deleted the unwanted parts of that image.


9) I then use the shadow/highlight tool to brighten it slightly.


10) I used the text tool to add the title and article.


11) I altered the layout to include a space for a quote.


12) I then altered the font, size and colour.

  1. Wow - I love what you have achieved it looks extremely professional. I especially like the fact that title is in 'clock font' the connotations that radiate from this are excellent - a very clever choice. in short, you have got the conventions spot on and in an original way.

  2. I totally agree with Ms Stott. This is a stunning piece of work and could easily be mistaken for the real thing. Your attention to detail and painstaking research have more than paid off. The copy is excellent and reads well. I am very impressed.
